Walking

The entire area surrounding Derrywater House is a Walkers Paradise. Two of the many beautiful walks within the county, The Wicklow Way - Ireland’s Oldest Long Distance Walking Route - and the Vale of Glendalough - one of Ireland's top tourist attractions - are less than half an hour away.

On a local level the Sean Linehan Walk, The Pure Mile and The Ciaran Shannon Walk show off the best of the stunning scenery around surrounding Aughrim Village. A guide may be arranged to accompany you for groups of 6 or more.

Aughrim boasts its own Pottery & Woodturning School run by the very talented Christien Van Brussel. Group classes of 6-10 people may be arranged for Derrywater House guests at special discounted rates.
